Join Chime.

  • Go to
  • Click Sign Up (top right).
  • On the signup page:
    • Enter your email
    • Click “I am not a robot”
    • Click “Sign Up >”
  • Go to your email for next steps.
  • Click the link to create a password.
  • Type a password, confirm and add your name.
  • Now, login.
  • Start a meeting, click join now to “Chime In”.

Start a meeting.

  1. Go to and click ‘Join Now’ under the “Start a Meeting” section.
  2. If prompted, allow to use your camera and microphone.
  3. You’re in! Forward the URL to other participants.

While in a meeting:

  • Mute your audio / video
  • Lock a meeting (no more participants)
  • Add a reaction (ex. “Raise your hand”)
  • Chat with all attendees
  • Share a document
  • Share your desktop (Chrome only)
  • Leave the meeting

Share your desktop in a meeting.

  1. Use the Chrome browser!
  2. Click on the share button. share
  3. Choose share in the left hand bar.
  4. If sharing for the first time, a window will open asking you to quickly install a Chrome extension (“Chime by CafeX - Screen Sharing”).
  5. Click “Add Extension.”
  6. Start sharing! (Desktop or individual windows)
